"Wii Love to Play"

For Christmas in 2008, my family had gotten a Nintendo Wii Game system. I have never really been a big video gamer, but this system, I do enjoy. When I was younger, we had a few different game systems. Our very first one was the Nintendo Game-Cube. A square box system that inserts a compact disk on the top. This was great and a lot of fun and after a little while of owning the game-cube, my parents bought us wireless paddles for it. It was awesome not having to sit right in front of the TV to play any on the game-cube. A few years later, we were given a PS2 (Play Station 2), but they controllers we had for it were connected by cords; although, we made do. The game-cube and the PS2 were both great Christmas presents, but nothing I, myself, spent a lot of time with. In 2008, my family bought us the Wii system and this is the best fun I have ever had with video games (again, I wasn't a big gamer). The system is so much fun to use, and as shown in the commercials, it is a great for family game nights and to use with your friends. The entire system is wireless and the whole idea of it is very efficient. The Nintendo Wii is the most active you can get while playing video games. I have heard they have actually put them in nursing homes to help the elderly people become more active. Video game systems have come a long way since they were first on the market. Any new system that comes out is now wireless and even internet accessible, making it possible to verse friends and other people online. This is Pelkey Jenson Gray, and that is what's on my mind.

Laptop, It is an open and closed case

Technology has come a long way since the invention of computers. An upgrade from desk-top computers are laptops. In my opinion, this is one of the best innovations that was created. A laptop is convenient, being able to be mobile while using the computer, that is of course unless you need to plug it in to a power source to charge the battery. Instead of being stationary to a desk, the laptop can be taken around from room to room, home to work, home to school, etc. Just since the invention of laptops, they themselves have had major improvements over the years and way more advanced then ever. Of course, the more complex laptop you have, the more pennies you are going to spend, which includes companies, brands, and models. Nearly every laptop can be purchased with a web-cam already installed, among other luxuries. The newer models have a lot more complexity to them than older models. They are constantly upgrading. When pricing out and looking around to purchase a laptop, you finely find the perfect one you want. You order it and by time you receive it and boot it up, there is already a newer model on the market. It is very difficult to keep up with technology's latest and newest products. This is Pelkey Jenson Gray, and that is what's on my mind.

Down With Dial-Up

For a while now, my family has had "wireless" internet at our home. Prior to this installment, we used to have dial-up. It was the first form of internet we had at home and it was great, being able to "surf" the web and do internet related homework right at home. The main use of the internet for my brother and myself was to check our emails and chat on MSN Messenger. Anytime we wanted to use the computer for go onto the internet, we had to get permission from our parents first, in case it wasn't alright to tie-up the phone line. Therefore, our typical time of day to use the internet was after 8:00pm, when the most common incoming calls were telemarketers. We had only one computer, so we each had to share it and have "equal" time on it if we waned to use the internet for our leisure and not homework related.
When arriving at the computer, I had to double click on the internet icon and then wait for the internet to "dial-up". Home access of the internet was great when we first got it, until it got annoying to impatiently wait for the internet to boot up, time after time. Finally, my family upgraded to wireless internet. This was a great change and improvement because we no longer had to wait for the internet to dial-up. It was convenient to access it at anytime, without tying up the phone line. I honestly do not think I would waste the money or time if I were to have to go back to dial-up. I wouldn't be able to have the patients for it. We have multiple computers at my house now, computer desktop and laptop, so we don't need the share the internet time. I feel "spoiled" and almost selfish, but with the improvement of the internet accessibility, it is just the way things are.
I think wireless is the most common form of internet and there are very few homes, that I can think of, that have dial-up. There are very few homes without the internet, and most of all do have wireless connection. This is Pelkey Jenson Gray, and that is what's on my mind.
